We began in 1985 with a small gift of £51.25p as seed-money from a visiting

scholar. Since then we have assisted thousands of individuals with higher education scholarships and small grants to help widows, orphans, the sick & disabled. We aim to support the needy regardless of caste, creed, ethnicity or sectarian divides. We've also responded to natural disasters worldwide. We currently have a caseload of over 1500 beneficiaries.

People tend to be more charitable when they themselves experience hunger and thirst. Our annual fundraising coincides with Ramadaan. Regular donors eagerly await arrival of our Volunteers to collect their generous donations during the fasting month.

Our next crucial link is a group of volunteers in the field. They promote the charity and attract applications from students, widows, orphans, the sick and disabled.

They give us independent feedback about the situation on the ground and help clarify details provided by applicants.

The third group key to KESWA Charity is its Management Committee & Trustees.

They ensure we carry out our work in line with agreed policies & procedures. They help decide on all the requests received for help. They also carry out whatever is necessary to action the decisions made at Committee Meetings and at the Annual General Meetings.

We have recently distributed over ten thousand free blankets. Many people in Gambia, India, Nepal and the UK have benefited. This is only possible

through Divine Providence, generosity of donors and support from dedicated volunteers and partner agencies.
